Final Day of the Willoughby Institute

Today marks the final day of the Sum­mer Insti­tute por­tion of the Willough­by Fel­lows Pro­gram in Aca­d­e­m­ic Tech­nol­o­gy, 2008. I am exhaust­ed but delight­ed. At our clos­ing cer­e­mo­ny today, in giv­ing gen­uine thanks to all involved — fac­ul­ty and staff — I remarked on what a unique achieve­ment the week has been, in form­ing the begin­nings of a gen­uine com­mu­ni­ty of prac­tice that cross­es both aca­d­e­m­ic and orga­ni­za­tion­al bound­aries. I sin­cere­ly mean that — I think we have some­thing spe­cial at Dickinson.
